update & some favorites

This past week has been the best. I turned 31 and was surrounded by all of my favorite people (obviously a few were out of town..mom, dad, ems, krista) but it truly was a week to remember and I got spoiled. Here are a few of my favorite items this week. Maybe you'll pick these up for yourself or these are great ideas for gifts..enjoy

My parents have started this dish collection for me from Anthropologie and I looove it. If you know me, you know that I'm a little obsessed with bowls, dishes, you name it. I'm in love.

Speaking of love..remember when I talked about this quilt that I just loved? Well little Ms Abby is going to whip it up for me and I can't wait.

Marta had done a 12 day countdown to my birthday and I was spoiled by all the goods..here are some favorites. Lush Ocean Salt Scrub (I used it the first time last night and love it), glass bird paperweight reminds me of my little bird and grandma June, bumble&bumble texture creme, oh and this bed head conditioner so dreamy, I'm in love with this candle..simply the best (can find these at Anthropologie or Got Beauty)

My Aunt spoiled me and bought these shoes from J crew so cute and I cannot wait to wear them..thanks Jo

The hubby always makes my birthday so special and I got to go shopping baby free (a few times)..I picked up a few items like these comfy tees and this finally came out on dvd..I'm obsessed.

First week being 31 has been pretty good.
Happy shopping

so many thanks

There are so many things that I'm thankful for. These two are my happiness and the loves of my life.
I cannot picture my life without them and am blessed every single day for how they impact my life.
Thanksgiving was a great day and was so pretty (look at that blue sky).
Before we did any food making or traveling down to our mom's we went on a walk with our little bird. Just the three of us.
It was one of those good mornings with my family which gets me thinking how grateful I am for everything.

We had a great Thanksgiving (more pictures to come) with our families which I am so grateful for. It was a great day.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thankful

Today I'm so thankful
I'm thankful for my little girl who is sleeping soundly in her crib right now, who smiles so big every time I pick her up from her nap
I'm thankful that she is healthy and happy. She's growing so much so fast and I love watching her see new things every day
I'm thankful for that hubby of mine who works his butt off so I can stay home with Wren. He also has made it possible for me to go teach a few times a week...it's just good for me.
I'm thankful for his love and support and I'm thankful every time he comes through our door safe everyday from flying
I'm thankful that I have a family of 3 that makes my life much more meaningful, more bigger than me.
I'm thankful for my family..my parents, jason's parents, my sisters, my brothers, cousins & aunts. They have been a rock in my life and I appreciate all that they do for me..for us
I'm thankful for my friends..those good friends that I've had forever who know me, who make me laugh and where we can pick up as if a day never went by.
I'm thankful for yoga and how it has made a huge impact on my life. I'm grateful that I get to still teach and not only help someone's day be a little bit better but also mine.
I'm thankful for the simple days, watching movies under quilts, going to dinner with an old friend, having conversations with my nephews, making Wren laugh, going on walks and making cookies.
I'm thankful everyday for all the little and big things in my life.

Happy Sunday

4 years and counting...

4 years ago today I married my best friend. Which means we have been together for 9 years. It's true what Jason says.."we've been together forever." It's gone by fast and I remember when we took this picture (which is one of my favorites). It was 5 years ago and we were hiking up Bells Canyon. Jason had just bought that hat for me which I still wear and we were talking about hiking with our kids, taking them camping. We talked about teaching our kids how to fly airplanes and do yoga. We talked about our future and being together. It was one of those moments where I love to look back on...fast forward to now. This morning I woke up to my little girl smiling at me and my husband getting ready to go to work. Making me laugh, which he has done forever. I wouldn't have my life any other way. Thank you Jason for going to Europe with me 9 years ago, for taking me rock climbing and camping, thank you for making me rhubarb pie and getting me a dr pepper, thank you for making me laugh and letting me vent to you, thank you for being an amazing husband and the greatest dad to our little Wren.

Happy Anniversary

Thankful

This season of Thanks is one of my favorites. Lately I’ve been thinking about all the little things and BIG things that I’m thankful for, people who help me on a daily basis even if it’s a smile from a stranger or a phone call from a friendly voice. There are a lot of things that I’m grateful for, my family, Jason, my friends, my little babysize apartment, yoga, homemade quilts, vanilla yogurt with raspberries, sunny cold days. I’m grateful for the traditions that have been passed down to me from generations to generations. Last night I made my mom’s homemade chicken noodle soup that she got from her grandma that we indulged every year on Christmas Eve. Something about that soup reminds me of my family, of being blessed and being thankful for all the little and BIG things that get me by in my life. Having my little helper to stir and to create something that has been passed down from grandmothers, to daughters to sisters, to friends, to even a little 2 year old. I’m very grateful for it all. Many thanks to all my friends & family enjoying this season of THANKS.
