tiny thousand nows

I have this card above my desk that says "Someday is made up of a thousand tiny nows." It also goes on saying, "every marvelous possibility is a bundle of very little things." My Wren is a little bundle of something marvelous. She's busy, she's exploring, she's learning and she's all mine. How lucky am I?

And these days it's been colder, it's been changing. We've been staying in doors, watching the rain fall, taking fall walks and bundling up with some cozy quilts. These days we've been eating pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and drinking more tea. I've been doing more yoga and less running, slowing down and reading more. I'm excited for what's ahead, but also enjoying the now and trying to stay in the moment knowing my little bundle is growing and changing every single day. Somedays I wish we could just freeze the moment and stay.. for just awhile.

july 20th

I can't believe how fast summer is going. It's already August and I feel like I still have so much to do before sweater weather comes. I do love the fall and can't wait for all the fun holidays to come but before I get ahead of myself..lets go back a month. July 20th to be exact.
That day we celebrate Jason's birthday. I sometimes forget how old we are..but it was really depressing when I remembered that Jason is still in his 20s..one more year big boy and you get to join me!
This year I told him to go rock climbing all day..he works so much and I wanted him to take advantage of that blue sky and warm sun. I think he had a good time. Later that night we celebrated with eating pizza with some friends. It was a great night and I can't thank Jason enough for being such a great dad to Wren and an amazing husband to me. I am truly blessed to be his Mrs.
This summer has already been filled with fun memories and I've got lots to share.

Friday's & Father's

Happy Friday Happy almost Father's day. 

This past week I've been thinking a lot of how grateful I am for dads. I have a real tender spot for my dad. He's a sensitive guy and when I think of him, I even get teary eyed. He's one of those dads that truly knows how to fix anything and everything. He has brain washed his kids into working hard and not smacking our food while we eat. My life has been pretty great with this guy raising me and caring about me. I sure am blessed to be his daughter and Wren is sure blessed to have him as a grandpa...Speaking of my little Wrenny. This 16 pound babe is a little daddy's girl. She loves her dad and he loves her right back. Words really cannot describe how perfect of a dad Jason is. I told him the other day that he was born to be a dad...and it shows every time they are together. I am a blessed girl..life is just a little sweeter right now and tomorrow this little family of mine is going to fly to Idaho for a little outdoors fun and I'm excited.

bundle of cuteness

These days are messy. I wish I could just freeze time because she's growing up way to fast. But this bundle of 15 pounds is so much fun. She's becoming my hyper, more animated, more stubborn, more stinkin cute. 

These days we are also doing more, eating more. This little bird is a big fan of hummus and going up stairs. She is into pointing and clapping and just being so cute. 

If we aren't going on walks and taking naps together, we've been spending time with family. 

This past week we celebrated my parents birthdays. I love my mom and dad and I love that Wren is so happy over at their house. Being a mom makes me grateful and so appreciative of all that my parents have done for me. I just hope they know how grateful I am of them.

This week is the last few days of the Spring semester which means I have a couple of weeks before Summer starts and I'll be busy hanging out with the babes, hopefully see my hard working husband, and there better be some sunshine and warm weather coming my way.

2. Jason & I first held hands walking down a street in Paris and our first kiss was in Rome in our hostel (with 20 other sleeping people around us) 
3. I did a study abroad in Italy where I was suppose to learn how to speak Italian and learn how to cook, I came home with a good tan and a lot of pictures
4. I've been to 12 countries
5. The only person that likes my dancing is my 10 month baby girl

7. When I first kissed Jason (see #2) he was 19 and I didn't realize it

Happy March

This face melts my heart..some of you have seen this picture on my instagram yes you heard me I'm on instagram and have no idea what I'm doing but it's fun. This little one is 9 months her stats 15 lbs (hip hip hooray) which puts her at a high 3%. She's also 26 inches long which puts her at a whopping 14%. My little bird. Her size doesn't seem to slow her down, its actually helping her move quite fast and she's doing way to much and getting into everything. So I'm hoping the rest of my baby weight will just burn away as I'm chasing this little one..we'll see. 

There's been a lot going on but first lets talk about that sunshine and that blue sky. It's still cold, but I'm starting to feel Spring around the corner which gets my heart beating a little bit faster. I can't wait to go swimming and go outside without a layers of clothes on. I can't wait for this little one to enjoy the summer life. Yesterday it was pretty rainy..I was meeting the hubby/daddy for lunch and I looked in my mirror and saw this little one staring at the raindrops on the window. She looked confused, looked interested and I loved just the simplicity of it. I can't wait to see what she sees next. Summer get here soon. 

This past week my little family stayed busy, running errands, the mummies exhibit and ate a lot. Tonight I'm putting a salad together and getting back to eating better...maybe it's time to go back to being a vegetarian? This week has already been so busy and it just doesn't stop..first Happy Birthday to a few special ladies..my sister Abigail, Emily and one of my oldest friends Ginnie..I sure love you guys and life is just so much sweeter with you in it. So the busyness continues and tomorrow I'll be teaching a lot..nervous, excited, but it should be a good and I haven't taught the yoga teaching training since before Wren..I'm ready for the challenge which Jason helped me prep last night (thank you Jas for talking Chakras with me). So things are looking bright and this little babe is nothing but sweetness and trouble. I couldn't be happier.

Weekend with February

Oh Hello February...

February is a fun month for me..it's a short one, a birthday one, and it's full of love. 

Last month brought so much snow I felt like we would never get out of the house, but this weekend brought some sunshine and we got out and about..so besides getting snowed in for the last week or so..we've been quite busy. My little girl has been busy being super cute and super busy..see these adorable pictures below

So we were busy painting, cleaning, running around doing errands, visiting family, game night..I even had time this morning to teach a yoga class at the Lululemon store and loved every minute of it.

stuffy nose and sleepless nights

Doesn't this face melt your heart..it does mine, even more so that this little babe of mine is sick. Sick with a cold and the saddest little cough. I was reading Marta's post the other day about phases..sleeping, teething, sickness and it's true. One day you think "hey little one you can sleep through the night" and then a cold happens and she's up almost every hour because of stuffed nose. 
Needless to say we've done a lot of rocking, a lot of cuddling and taken a lot of baths. Its the sweetest little thing when I look down at this little babe with tired eyes and a running nose and there is the sweetest little smile to brighten up anyones sleepless days. Besides being sick, these days my little Wren is crawling, and getting faster each day..where did the time go? My thoughts this week is to enjoy all the little simple things..a cat nap, clean floors, an active baby, a smile, downward facing dog, etc...

This little babe of mine is my world..the last few weeks have been busy and this little bird is a busy one. Lately she hasn't been interested in any of her toys but more like plugs, shoes, rugs that I don't want her to touch. She's one determined babe and I love that look in her eyes as she see something and knows that she'll do anything to get to it. Tomorrow I'll start teaching again which I'm excited and nervous..I'm always nervous the day before classes..its like I've forgotten that I've done this about a million times. Maybe today Wren and I will just take it easy and maybe she'll help me make dinner or maybe we'll bundle up and go for a walk..it's been so cold outside and we've missed our walks. 2012 Recap

January-we found out our little babe is a girl

Happy New Year and Happy 7 months baby Wren! 

A year ago today I was 17 weeks pregnant and just had my gall bladder taken out. Jas and I celebrated that New Years in the hospital..I remember those days were pretty painful and I was terrified that something was going to happen to my little babe. Fast forward a year later this little babe of ours celebrated her first Christmas and New Years being a healthy active little one. I can't wait to see what this year brings and how a year from now I'll look back and see how much this little one has grown has changed. 

I'm hoping this coming year I'll let go of any expectations and be less critical of myself. 

I will snuggle this babe of mine more and maybe not stress so much on doing the dishes and cleaning the apartment. 

I'm hoping 2013 will be a year where we will finally find the perfect home for our little family, with that said I also need to be more content. 

I'm hoping everyday this year I'll be a better mom, but take it day by day and know that I'm learning. I'm overwhelmed with love and appreciation for that hubby of mine not only last year did he hold my hand and helped me with that dang surgery but he is one good dad and an amazing husband to me.

I'm thinking this is going to be a good year.

Today is pretty snowy. I'm looking out the window & see the fall leaves covered with white snow. It's slushy, wet & the sky is dark gray. It's actually quite  pretty. This past week Wren hasn't been sleeping the best. Well I guess she has.. it's just she's on a different schedule & I'm blaming it on day light savings. This morning she woke up earlier than usual.. she was kicking, smiling & ready for the snow.

Before Jas had to leave for work, we did take advantage of waking up early & eating breakfast at Tulie Bakery (mentioned here)... we met up with Jason's sister & some new friends & ate the best steel oats with black berries that we've ever had. Jas went on his way with his americano & almond pastry, while Wren & I walked in the snow & drove 
home which I'm

This little bird loves to held, be outside and hates to be buckled down into anything. 80% of the time my little babe screams in the car..not just screams foams at the mouth kind of scream. It breaks my heart and I've done about everything that I could think of to help the situation. I don't go anywhere, but those days that I do..I limit the errands and break them up throughout the week, I feed her, change her, play with her right before and still the same screaming. I've worked around her naps, driven during her naps and same old thing. There are those rare moments where she's content and I think to myself..today's the day she gets over this, but then the next time we go out..she screams. Good thing I live close to a grocery store that we can walk down to every once in a while, but it makes me so sad and she gets so mad in the car...help? Do I just play the waiting game or is there some trick out there that I'm missing. Until then Wren and I will be at home and we love visitors.
